 What is "MonMaster"?

With one comprehensive and common application, eligible candidates can apply to the first year of up to 15 Master’s degrees and an additional 15 other Master degrees in “alternance”.

The “MonMaster” platform is also a very useful orientation resource to overview all the national master’s degree programs offered by accredited higher education institutions in France. The platform offers a multi-criteria search engine allowing candidates to find Master programs by fields, backgrounds, institutions and regions. An interactive map is available to locate institutions in France. Important admission data, such as competitiveness and selection criteria are also available.

Who can apply ?

In addition to French students, may apply to Master’s degree programs through the “MonMaster” platform the following international students:

- Application from a country in the European Economic Area (including Andorra, Switzerland and Monaco)

- Applicants of another nationality who reside in a country of the European Economic Area (including Andorra, Switzerland and Monaco)

Is an Etudes en France application necessary?

The “MonMaster” platform does not substitute for the “Etudes en France” pre-consular procedure that enables candidates to obtain a French long stay student visa.

Depending on the visa they have initially received and their legal status in France, candidates may have to apply for a student visa or a resident permit. Procedure to follow should be verified with the local Prefecture (in France) or the visa service of the French consulate of their current country of residence.

For students accepted to a Master’s degree program AND applying for their student visa from the United States, an Etudes en France pre-consular application must be submitted prior to attending their student visa appointment.

What is the calendar to apply on “MonMaster” for the academic year 2024-2025?
