I am applying to programs taught entirely in English. Do I need French language exam results and document translations?
If you are only applying to programs that are taught entirely in English, you will not need to include the results of a French proficiency exam in your application and should write your motivation statements for those programs in English.
We encourage you to verify the document translation requirements with your institutions of interest to ensure that you have all the necessary components of your application for programs taught in English. Application requirements can be found on the EEF platform when you are selecting programs to add to your cart and often online when reviewing the institution's website/program webpage.
I am applying to degree programs in France and am interested in the Eiffel Scholarship? How do I apply?
The selection process for the Eiffel Scholarship is managed by the individual French universities, while applications to degree programs are facilitated by Campus France USA through the Etudes en France candidature process. We encourage you to look at what information the schools that you are interested in have published about their participation in the Eiffel scholarship. The institution's website will often tell you specific details of how they would like to be contacted and what types of students are eligible.
I’m taking a language exam (DELF, DALF, TCF, TEF) in December. Can I still submit my application without the results of the exam by the December or January deadline?
The submission of your EEF DAP or HDAP application by the December or January deadline respectively is an initial submission that will be reviewed by a Campus France USA advisor. Consequently, taking a French language exam in December will not hinder the submission of your application to the institutions as that final submission will take place following the Campus France application review and interview process. You will, however, be required to upload proof of registration for a language exam before the Etudes en France application deadline, with the rest of your application.
Your Campus France USA advisor will assist you in ensuring your language exam results are added to your application before your application is submitted to the French institutions by mid-March. It is not recommended that you register for an exam later than December, as you risk not having your results in time for this final submission.
I don’t yet have my final transcript or diploma. What should I do?
If you have not yet obtained your final transcript or diploma, please upload your most recent official transcript and a letter from your institution that confirms your academic standing and expected graduation date.
What happens once I have submitted my application by the deadline?
The submission of your EEF DAP or HDAP application by December or January deadline respectively is an initial submission that will be reviewed by a Campus France USA advisor. The Campus France advisor assigned to your application will review your documents, share any recommendations to strengthen your application, conduct a phone interview, and then finalize the submission of your EEF application to the French institutions in the spring.
Are applications to institutions submitted on a rolling basis?
Your EEF application is submitted once, to all the institutions you are applying to after your Campus France advisor finalizes the submission of your Etudes en France application.
I have dual citizenship (United States and EU member state). How should I apply to degree programs in France?
If you are a citizen of an EU member state (or a state in the European Economic Area), you must apply to degree programs using Parcoursup (for first-year admissions) or MonMaster (for graduate programs), regardless of your country of residence or the type of diploma that you hold. You do not need to have obtained a French baccalauréat or licence to use these platforms.
